HomeLab is operated by SummitCore Digital LLC, doing business as HomeLab. Business address: 611 South DuPont Highway, Suite 102, Dover, DE 19901, United States. Contact: Help@TryHomelab.com. These Terms apply to our website, memberships, recurring subscriptions, tutorials, tool guides, maintenance checklists, ebooks and other digital resources.

1. Agreement, scope and important notices
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and SummitCore Digital LLC, doing business as HomeLab (“HomeLab,” “we,” “us” or “our”). “Services” means the HomeLab website, member areas, subscriptions, learning materials, downloadable resources and related services we make available. Please read these Terms before creating an account or purchasing access. The version published with your order governs that order, subject to lawful changes described below. These Terms take effect when first published; changes are identified by a revised version notice.
By affirmatively accepting these Terms during registration or checkout, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not complete registration or purchase a membership. Where use of a free website feature does not involve affirmative acceptance, these Terms apply only to the extent permitted by applicable law. Your non-waivable consumer rights are not affected.
IMPORTANT: Section 19 contains a class action and representative action waiver. Where enforceable and accepted by you, it requires covered disputes to proceed individually. It is not an agreement to mandatory arbitration. Section 20 explains your opportunity to opt out of that waiver.
2. Eligibility and account responsibilities
Paid memberships are intended for adults aged 18 or older who can enter a binding contract. If you act for an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind it. You must provide accurate registration, contact and billing information and keep it current. Do not impersonate another person or use credentials you are not authorized to use.
Keep login details confidential and use reasonable security precautions. You are responsible for activity you authorize through your account. Notify Help@TryHomelab.com promptly if you suspect unauthorized access or a payment you did not authorize. We may take proportionate steps to protect an account, verify ownership or investigate suspicious activity. You are not responsible for unauthorized activity to the extent applicable law provides otherwise.
3. Educational purpose; no professional services
HomeLab provides general educational information for complete beginners learning to maintain, repair and improve their homes. Tutorials, checklists, tool comparisons, ebooks, videos and any responses to questions are not an inspection of your property, a diagnosis, a professional design, a permit, a certification or individualized engineering, construction, legal or safety advice. Membership does not create a contractor-client or other professional advisory relationship.
Properties, materials, appliances, tools and local rules differ. A general guide cannot account for hidden services, structural conditions, previous workmanship, hazardous materials or your physical abilities. We do not guarantee that a task is suitable for you or that following a guide will produce a particular outcome, save a particular amount or satisfy a regulator, insurer, landlord or manufacturer.
4. DIY safety and professional assistance
Assess each task before beginning. Read the entire guide and the manufacturer’s current instructions, understand the tools and materials, obtain any required consent or permit and use suitable protective equipment. Keep children, pets and bystanders away from work areas. Do not use tools while impaired, fatigued or otherwise unable to work safely. Stop immediately if conditions differ from those described, a tool is damaged or you are unsure how to proceed.
Gas work, major electrical work, structural alterations, roof work, work at height, asbestos or lead disturbance and other hazardous or regulated tasks may require appropriately licensed professionals. A tutorial is not permission to undertake regulated work. Follow local codes, utility requirements and professional advice. Renters should obtain any required property-owner approval.
If you suspect a gas leak, exposed live wiring, structural instability, fire, serious flooding or another immediate danger, move to safety and contact the relevant emergency service or utility. Do not rely on HomeLab support for emergencies. Nothing in these Terms excludes responsibility for injury, death or other harm where exclusion is prohibited by law.
5. Plans, features and availability
HomeLab offers membership tiers such as Starter, Basic, Elite and Master. The features, access limits, billing interval, currency, taxes and price presented at checkout and in your order confirmation form part of your purchase. A feature shown for one tier is not automatically included in another. A roadmap, proposed lesson, unreleased ebook or example is not a promise of immediate availability unless your order expressly says otherwise.
We may update, replace or retire materials to improve accuracy, safety or the service. Reasonable maintenance, outages and third-party failures may interrupt access. If we materially reduce a paid service during a prepaid term, we will provide notice and any remedy required by applicable law. We will not rely on this section to avoid a specific promise made in your order.
6. Prices, payments and recurring subscriptions
Unless checkout expressly identifies a one-time purchase, memberships are recurring subscriptions. By completing a recurring purchase, you authorize the disclosed initial charge and subsequent charges at the disclosed interval until you cancel. Checkout must display the renewal price and billing frequency before you consent. Keep a copy of your order confirmation. Prices are in the currency displayed at checkout; applicable taxes and payment-related charges will be disclosed as required.
Payments may be handled by a third-party payment service. You authorize that service to process the payments you agree to and, where permitted, to use updated payment credentials supplied by your financial institution. Your payment provider’s separate terms may also apply. HomeLab does not need you to send full card details by email.
If a payment fails, access may be paused or limited after any legally required notice. We may request an updated payment method or retry an authorized charge as permitted by law. We do not charge an undisclosed penalty merely because a payment fails. Please report suspected billing errors promptly; this request does not shorten any statutory dispute deadline.
7. Renewal, cancellation and plan changes
Your subscription renews automatically for the same billing interval unless you cancel before the next renewal charge. Cancel using the subscription-management option available in your account or payment portal. You may also request cancellation by emailing Help@TryHomelab.com from the email associated with your membership and identifying your account. Do not include a password or full payment-card number.
A cancellation request received before renewal stops future renewal charges, subject to verification reasonably needed to identify the account. Unless your order or applicable law says otherwise, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period and you retain access until then. Canceling a subscription is different from deleting an account; request cancellation explicitly if you also want billing stopped. Contact us if you do not receive confirmation or a charge occurs after timely cancellation.
Upgrades, downgrades and changes to billing frequency take effect on the terms disclosed when you request the change. Any immediate charge, credit or proration must be disclosed before you agree. A change in renewal price will be communicated in advance where required and will apply prospectively, with an opportunity to cancel. We will obtain renewed consent whenever applicable law requires it.
8. Refunds, withdrawal rights and digital delivery
Except where your order provides a specific refund promise or applicable law requires a refund, fees cover the purchased access period and cancellation alone does not automatically entitle you to a partial-period refund. If you believe content was not delivered, access was materially defective, you were charged incorrectly or a purchase did not match its description, contact Help@TryHomelab.com with the account email, order details and a description of the problem. We will review the facts and provide any remedy required by law.
Consumers in some locations have cancellation, cooling-off, conformity or withdrawal rights. These rights override inconsistent language in these Terms. Any request to begin digital supply immediately, and any acknowledgment that a withdrawal right may be lost, must be separately and clearly presented where legally required. These Terms alone do not obtain that consent or acknowledgment.
Downloadable resources are delivered electronically in the format stated at purchase. You are responsible for a compatible device and ordinary internet access. A separate ebook purchase may have different delivery or access terms from a membership; the terms disclosed with that purchase control. Report an inaccessible or corrupted file so we can investigate.
9. License to learning materials
HomeLab and its licensors retain intellectual property rights in lessons, writing, illustrations, videos, designs, checklists, templates, ebooks and branding. Subject to payment where applicable and compliance with these Terms, you receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the resources made available to you for personal, non-commercial learning and your own household projects.
You may print or save resources expressly offered for download for that permitted use. Keep copyright and attribution notices intact. You may not resell, redistribute, publicly post, sublicense or commercially exploit our materials, share a paid account outside its authorized users, operate a competing resource library from our content or remove access controls. Lawful quotation, accessibility uses and other exceptions permitted by law remain available.
Membership-only access generally ends when the paid period ends. Files lawfully downloaded under an express download permission may remain available for your permitted personal use, unless a different license was clearly disclosed. Downloading does not transfer ownership or permit redistribution.
10. Acceptable use and service integrity
Do not use the Services unlawfully, harass others, submit fraudulent payment information, upload malicious code, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with availability or circumvent membership restrictions. Do not scrape or bulk extract protected content or use it to train commercial models without permission, except to the extent a restriction is prohibited by law.
Do not upload illegal, infringing or dangerous material, disclose another person’s confidential information or present unsafe instructions as approved by HomeLab. We may investigate misuse and take proportionate measures, including removing material or restricting access, while respecting applicable legal rights.
11. Submissions, project photos and feedback
If a feature permits you to submit questions, reviews, comments or project photographs, you retain ownership of your original material. You give HomeLab a non-exclusive license to store, reproduce and display it only as reasonably needed to provide the feature, respond to you, moderate content and maintain the Services. Publicity use outside that context requires separate permission unless otherwise lawfully permitted.
You represent that you have the rights and consents needed for your submission. Avoid posting street addresses, access codes, financial documents, faces of people without permission or images revealing sensitive security arrangements. A public submission may be viewed or copied by others. We may remove submissions that violate these Terms or create safety, privacy or legal risks. You may send suggestions voluntarily; we may use general feedback without an obligation to pay you, but this does not transfer ownership of your protected content.
12. Third-party tools, products and links
Tool guides may mention third-party products, retailers, services or external resources. Their availability, prices, safety notices, warranties and terms are controlled by their providers. Check current specifications and manufacturer instructions yourself. A reference or link does not mean HomeLab has inspected your product, guarantees its suitability or endorses every statement made by the third party.
If we receive compensation for a recommendation or use an affiliate link, the material connection should be disclosed with the relevant content. Purchases from third parties are contracts with those parties. Nothing here removes responsibility HomeLab has under applicable law for its own statements or conduct.
13. Privacy and communications
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information. We may send transactional communications about security, billing, access, cancellations and changes affecting your membership. Marketing messages are separate; where consent is required, we will request it. You can unsubscribe from marketing without canceling essential account communications.
You agree to receive records electronically where you validly consent to electronic delivery. Keep your email address current and save important records. We will provide another legally required method or honor rights to withdraw electronic consent where applicable.
14. Suspension, termination and service closure
You may stop using the Services at any time and cancel recurring billing as described above. We may suspend or terminate access for a material breach, fraud, nonpayment, security threats or a legal requirement. Where reasonable and lawful, we will explain the reason and allow an opportunity to resolve the issue. Immediate protective action may be necessary in urgent cases.
If we discontinue a paid service or terminate access for a reason other than your material breach, we will provide notice and any refund or other remedy required by law. Termination does not cancel outstanding lawful obligations or eliminate claims that already arose. Provisions about intellectual property, accrued payments, disputes and limitations continue only to the extent relevant and enforceable.
15. Disclaimers and no guaranteed results
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” WE DO NOT PROMISE THAT ALL INFORMATION WILL BE ERROR-FREE, THAT EVERY RESOURCE WILL REMAIN AVAILABLE INDEFINITELY OR THAT ACCESS WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED. DIY RESULTS DEPEND ON YOUR HOME, TOOLS, SKILL, PREPARATION AND OTHER CONDITIONS WE CANNOT CONTROL.
WE DISCLAIM IMPLIED WARRANTIES ONLY TO THE EXTENT LAWFULLY PERMITTED. NOTHING EXCLUDES A MANDATORY WARRANTY, A STATUTORY RIGHT TO CONFORMING DIGITAL CONTENT, RESPONSIBILITY FOR FRAUD OR ANY OTHER LIABILITY THAT CANNOT BE EXCLUDED. THIS SECTION DOES NOT OVERRIDE A SPECIFIC WRITTEN COMMITMENT IN YOUR ORDER.
16. Limitations of liability
TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, HOMELAB AND ITS LICENSORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL LOSSES, INCLUDING LOST PROFITS, LOST BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES OR LOST DATA, ARISING FROM THE SERVICES. WHERE A FINANCIAL LIMIT IS LAWFUL, OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS CONNECTED WITH THE SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF US $100 OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID HOMELAB FOR THE AFFECTED SERVICES IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.
THESE EXCLUSIONS AND LIMITS DO NOT APPLY TO FRAUD, WILLFUL MISCONDUCT, GROSS NEGLIGENCE, DEATH OR PERSONAL INJURY CAUSED BY NEGLIGENCE WHERE LIABILITY CANNOT BE LIMITED, OR OTHER LIABILITY OR CONSUMER REMEDIES THAT APPLICABLE LAW DOES NOT ALLOW US TO EXCLUDE OR LIMIT. IF A LIMIT IS INVALID IN YOUR LOCATION, THE LAWFUL LIMIT APPLIES INSTEAD. HOME REPAIR RISKS DO NOT EXCUSE OUR OWN NON-WAIVABLE RESPONSIBILITIES.
17. Responsibility for third-party claims
To the extent permitted by law, you are responsible for losses and reasonable costs arising from third-party claims caused by your unlawful misuse of the Services, infringement of another person’s rights through your submissions or material breach of these Terms. This does not require you to indemnify HomeLab for its own negligence, wrongful conduct or legal obligations that cannot be shifted to you.
We will notify you of a claim for which we seek reimbursement, permit a reasonable opportunity to participate in the defense and not agree to a settlement imposing obligations on you without your consent, which may not be unreasonably withheld. Any consumer protection limiting this obligation controls.
18. Informal disputes, governing law and courts
Please first send a written dispute notice to Help@TryHomelab.com or our business address, marked “Legal dispute.” Include your name, account email, a description of the issue and the outcome you seek. We will try in good faith to resolve it. The parties should allow 30 days for that process when practicable. This process does not prevent urgent relief, small-claims filings or compliance with a legal filing deadline.
Subject to mandatory law, Delaware law governs these Terms without applying conflict-of-laws rules. Unless a consumer protection rule requires another location, disputes may be brought in the state or federal courts serving Delaware, and the parties consent to those courts’ jurisdiction. You retain any mandatory right to bring a claim in your home jurisdiction or use an available consumer dispute process. These Terms do not require arbitration or waive a jury trial.
19. CLASS ACTION AND REPRESENTATIVE ACTION WAIVER
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, AND EXCEPT AS STATED BELOW, YOU AND HOMELAB AGREE THAT EACH MAY BRING COVERED CLAIMS AGAINST THE OTHER ONLY IN AN INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY, NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN A CLASS, COLLECTIVE, CONSOLIDATED OR REPRESENTATIVE ACTION. NEITHER PARTY MAY SEEK TO HAVE A COVERED DISPUTE HEARD ON A CLASS-WIDE BASIS OR COMBINE UNRELATED PERSONS’ CLAIMS WITHOUT BOTH PARTIES’ WRITTEN CONSENT.
This waiver applies only where you affirmatively accepted it through a legally sufficient agreement. It is subject to the opt-out in Section 20. It does not prevent an individual small-claims case, a report or complaint to a government agency, participation in an agency investigation, or a claim or remedy that cannot lawfully be waived. In particular, it does not waive a right to seek public injunctive relief where such a waiver is prohibited.
A court, not an arbitrator, determines the validity and scope of this waiver. If the waiver is unenforceable for a particular claim or remedy, that claim or remedy may proceed as applicable law allows; the remainder applies only to the extent it can lawfully be severed. Nothing requires arbitration or eliminates non-waivable consumer protections.
20. Right to opt out of the class action waiver
You may opt out of Section 19 within 30 days after you first affirmatively accept these Terms by emailing Help@TryHomelab.com with the subject “Class action waiver opt-out,” or by mailing an opt-out notice to SummitCore Digital LLC, HomeLab Legal, 611 South DuPont Highway, Suite 102, Dover, DE 19901, United States. An email sent or mailed notice postmarked within that period is timely.
Include your name, the email associated with your account and a clear statement that you opt out of the class action waiver. Do not send a password, full card number or government identification. Opting out will not affect your membership, price or ability to use the Services. If you opt out, Section 19 does not apply to you; the rest of these Terms remains subject to applicable law.
21. Changes, interpretation and entire agreement
We may revise these Terms prospectively to reflect changes in the Services, legal requirements or business practices. We will provide reasonable advance notice of material changes where required and seek fresh assent where necessary, including when required for a material dispute-resolution change. A posted revision will not retroactively remove accrued rights or substitute for consent required by law. If you do not accept an applicable change, you may stop using the Services and cancel future renewals.
These Terms, the terms expressly included in your order and any separately accepted feature terms form the agreement about the Services. An order-specific commitment controls over conflicting general language. If a provision is unenforceable, the rest remains effective to the extent lawful. Failure to enforce a provision once is not a continuing waiver. You may not transfer your account or contract without consent except as the law permits. We may transfer the agreement as part of a business transfer only without reducing your mandatory rights and with any required notice.
22. Contact and legal notices
Operator: SummitCore Digital LLC, doing business as HomeLab. Email for customer support, billing, cancellation and legal notices: Help@TryHomelab.com. Business mailing address: 611 South DuPont Highway, Suite 102, Dover, DE 19901, United States. Please identify the relevant account or order and describe your request. This is a mailing address, not a promise of walk-in customer service.
These Terms should be read together with the Privacy Policy. If you need an accessible copy or have a question about a provision, contact us before purchasing or attempting a project. Contract language does not replace the need to follow safety guidance or seek qualified professional help.
